Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer for Virtual Library

Job Description 
Join an elite group dedicated to continuous personal improvement as GCT is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who will work closely with the Data Architect and the VL Team to help build, deploy, and maintain new analytic capabilities with an emphasis on micro services through the use of cutting-edge containerization technologies, in support of AS& T/ASO/IRD. This individual will also be responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, and debugging data technical stacks for an IC R&D community that support the development of such micro service-based capabilities.

CLEARANCE: TS/SCI w/Full scope polygraph (REQUIRED)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area, or field is required (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience

Desired skills

• Ability to building and manage containers, to include use of Nexus/Maven technologies, and configuration management tools (Atlassian Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.)

• Manage Linux environment (Red Hat/Centos)

• Implement and maintain Web Services (e.g. Tomcat)

• Maintaing Big Data Storage, Messaging, and Processing tools such as Hadoop (HDFS, YARN/MapReduce, Hive, etc.), Cloudera Suite/HortonWorks Data Platform including Accumulo

The majority of the work will be performed in Chantilly Virginia, which is located approximately 25 miles west of Washington D.C., near the Dulles International Airport.
